How to Design a Bathroom Layout that Works

How should you design a bathroom? The quest to find a universal answer to this question has been stumping even the most seasoned home designers for decades. That is because the layout of a bathroom often dictates every design choice the homeowner is compelled to make. In essence, not only does it influence the aesthetic of the space but also critical processes like plumbing. The important thing for a bathroom layout is that it should be functional, yet spacious enough to take care of all your needs. Designing the right layout may seem like a challenging experience but doing it right reaps high rewards as well. One...

Next to the Lord and Taylor on the first floor of the mall, patrons will be able to spend 45 minutes visiting the museum. Leesburg Enlists Goats for Weed Control

In Leesburg, VA, goats have been contracted - no kidding - to do what they do best: eat weeds away. In late April, Leesburg Town Council unanimously voted to end the controversial practice of spraying herbicide on green areas and replace it with 'goat power.' July 15th brought the first herd of these cute mammals to dine along Town Branch and clear undergrowth. The animals led to their first area of employment behind the Dry Mill Townhomes by Prosperity Acres, a farming firm from Sunderland, Maryland, will later be shepherded to Plaza Street flood-way, Loudoun Now has reported. Goats Aid in Anti-Flood Measures  These...

Loudoun Seeks Younger, Millennial Homeowners

Loudoun County may have a life quality hardly matched in Virginia, or even across the nation, but its leaders are not entirely happy since it fails to lure millennial home buyers. At Bisnow media group's 'State of the Market' meeting for their county on July 10, they joined voices calling for more affordable housing in the area. "I don’t want a county where you have to make $140K to live here," Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis Randall is quoted as saying in a July 15 report by the meeting's organizer. She believes that, with new additions to the county landscape, the...
